Mrs. Hilla Patell, originally from India, who lived and worked in London. A quiet and dedicated Montessori educator and AMI trainer, she mentored many trainers and deeply influenced their thinking, inspiring them to develop their own understanding and follow their own paths. Hilla worked on committees in AMI and on developing tools and strategies for observation and was known for raising thoughtful questions and writing the briefest yet most insightful notes. She had a keen interest in physics, mathematics, music, and philosophy, and found joy in learning from others. Vibrant in her silence, she carried her knowledge with deep humility.
