Job Description

We're seeking an innovative and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic e-commerce team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in developing and optimizing e-commerce websites to enhance online sales, strengthen brand presence, and improve customer engagement. You'll oversee website performance, user experience, and technical functionality while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce Software Development:

Collaborate with the Director of E-commerce to create and implement strategies that drive growth and meet revenue targets.
Provide regular updates on performance and progress to stakeholders.
Website Optimization:

Maintain and improve website architecture to ensure smooth and effective user experiences.
Use analytics to monitor performance and make data-driven improvements.
Track and evaluate metrics like traffic, conversion rates, and engagement.
User Experience Enhancement:

Partner with Marketing and Design teams to ensure the website is visually appealing, functional, and mobile-friendly.
Innovate the shopping experience through personalized content and customer feedback.
Explore and deploy new tools and technologies to enhance functionality.
E-commerce Features:

Enhance shopping cart, payment systems, and product search features.
Manage SEO/SEM strategies to boost visibility and drive traffic.
Vendor Management:

Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and technology partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Deliverables:

Launch new e-commerce websites and manage updates.
Provide regular performance reports and user experience reviews.
Monitor and report on SEO and SEM performance.
What We're Looking For:

Technical Skills:

Strong fundamentals in Computer Science or Engineering.
5+ years of server-side JavaScript experience.
3+ years of experience in Agile development environments.
Proficiency in relational or NoSQL databases and API-first services (REST, GraphQL).
Expertise in Next.js, React, and LAMP stack development.
Familiarity with Builder.io Headless CMS, Git-based version control, and best practices like unit testing.
Knowledge of WooCommerce, PHP, Shopify, and Azure-based data engineering.
Experience:

3+ years in e-commerce, website operations, or digital marketing.
Proven success in leading website initiatives and driving user experience improvements.
Strong understanding of SEO/SEM, UX/UI design, and e-commerce platforms.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Other Skills:

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
