Anandhi Ramachandran was the daughter of renowned Tamil writer and freedom fighter Kalki Krishnamurti and his wife Rukmini Krishnamurti, a creative and dedicated homemaker.
A lifelong advocate for education, Anandhi dedicated 40 years of service to the Kalakshetra Institution, enriching students' lives through theatre, dance, and cultural programmes. She played a key role in fundraising efforts and was deeply committed to supporting struggling students, often paying their fees anonymously.
Having attended a Montessori school in India during Maria Montessori’s time, Anandhi was deeply influenced by its philosophy. Her father instilled in her a belief in freedom and equality, shaping her lifelong dedication to education. The AREF fund, made possible by her vision and generosity, continues her legacy—supporting teachers who will shape the future.
Your contribution helps create opportunities for aspiring Montessori educators. Together, we can empower teachers and enrich the learning experiences of children across India.
